Electrical Engineer I

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support the design, development, documentation, and testing of Atec products, including hardware, firmware, and application programs for both military and commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering staff to develop hardware, firmware, documentation, and testing procedures using established practices.
• Assist in designing and documenting electrical hardware using digital, analog, and microprocessor‑based components.
• Support firmware design, testing, and debugging, and prepare product layout, schematics, and detail drawings.
• Compile and analyze test data to establish Acceptance Test Standards for new or modified equipment.
• Coordinate prototype building with Manufacturing and assist with technical manuals, ATPs, QTPs, and ICDs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 1‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO quality standards and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with peers.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C, C++, Python, assembly, ladder programming, LabVIEW.
• Experience with PLCs, CAN systems, and firmware debugging.
• Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, linear systems, Boolean algebra, and electrical power fundamentals.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, wiring diagrams, and creating detailed drawings.
