ELDS Team Leader - Warehouse Internal Logistics (1st Shift)

About the role

ABB's ELDS team leader for warehouse internal logistics works onsite in Mebane, NC, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. The role is responsible for supporting production line performance, staffing and resource coordination during the first shift.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing feedback to management and recommend improvements on production line performance, organization, shifting priorities and emerging critical issues.
• Support management in staffing adjustments for vacations, illnesses, equipment outages or changing production needs.
• Reinforce the team's focus on production volume targets, efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Assist management and shift teams with resource allocation, shift order coordination and oversight of work plan execution across production lines.
• Serve as shift leader, fostering collaboration and resolving technical, quality and logistical issues promptly.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; legal authorization to work in the US.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs, and to use cranes, lifting devices and ladders safely as needed.

Required skills

• Forklift operation required, including readiness to complete training on various forklift types.
• Knowledge of 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain).
• Use of necessary PPE and basic computer skills to look up parts.
• Basic mathematical and communication skills.
