EEO Investigator – Temporary (NYC Healthcare)

About the role

The EEO Investigator will work under the Office of Legal Affairs to conduct thorough investigations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints within a fast‑paced healthcare environment in New York City.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate internal complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including sexual harassment claims.
• Conduct interviews, gather evidence, review documentation, and prepare detailed investigative reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local anti‑discrimination laws.
• Provide an internal avenue for resolution of unlawful employment discrimination and harassment complaints.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the investigative process.
• Collaborate with the Office of Legal Affairs and HR teams on investigations and compliance matters.
• Assist with special projects and additional assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience conducting EEO or workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local anti‑discrimination and employment laws.
• Excellent investigative, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information quickly, identify critical issues, and formulate sound recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a large organizational structure.
• Experience in a fast‑paced healthcare or hospital environment.
