Economic Support Consultant – Revenue Maximization Specialist

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Economic Support Consultant 2 to work in the Revenue Maximization (Rev Max) unit of the Division of Family & Children Services. The role focuses on determining eligibility and funding for foster care, adoption assistance, and Medicaid programs.

Key responsibilities

• Determine Title IV‑E funding eligibility and continued Medicaid eligibility for foster care and adoption assistance children.
• Interview applicants, collect and evaluate personal and financial data, and make eligibility decisions.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in SHINES and Gateway systems.
• Collaborate with county child‑welfare staff and provide technical assistance on funding determinations.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and produce required productivity reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED plus three years related experience, or one year as an Economic Support Consultant 1.
• Knowledge of Title IV‑E and Medicaid federal and state regulations.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SHINES data system.
• Proficiency with Gateway data system.
