Economic Support Consultant 2 – Revenue Maximization Specialist

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services seeks an Economic Support Consultant 2 to join the Revenue Maximization unit within the Division of Family & Children Services. The role focuses on determining eligibility for Title IV‑E and Medicaid funding for foster care and adoption assistance children.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and investigate applicants to assess eligibility for social programs.
• Complete funding determinations, annual Medicaid redeterminations, and maintain accurate case records.
• Enter and update data in SHINES and Gateway systems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with county child‑welfare staff and provide technical assistance on funding determinations.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with three years related experience, or one year in a lower‑level Economic Support Consultant role.
• Knowledge of Title IV‑E and Medicaid federal and state regulations.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SHINES and Gateway data entry systems.
• Ability to analyze eligibility forms, applications, and financial data.
