About the role
The Economic Empowerment VISTA will support IRC Denver’s programs that help refugees and asylees achieve stabilization, poverty reduction, and community integration. This service opportunity is part of AmeriCorps VISTA and focuses on developing policies, monitoring tools, and client‑feedback mechanisms to improve program impact.
Key responsibilities
- Draft programmatic policies and procedures for staff review.
- Research and assist in creating frameworks to monitor program outcomes.
- Design surveys and client‑feedback tools, and analyze results.
- Develop resource‑mapping systems, referral banks, and curriculum materials.
- Evaluate existing programs, analyze data to identify unmet client needs, and produce written recommendations.
Required profile
- Openness to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on project tasks.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
- Interest in economic empowerment, refugee services, and community development.
