ACCEL Schools is seeking a passionate EK/Kindergarten Teacher to join Sagewood STEAM Academy in Columbus, Ohio. You will bring the curriculum to life, fostering both academic growth and social‑emotional development in a safe, technology‑rich environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and adapt lesson plans throughout the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Apply research‑based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Utilize school‑approved curricula that reflect cultural and linguistic diversity.
• Implement school‑wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Integrate technology tools to support learning.
• Participate in non‑instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues.

Required profile

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Comfort with a growth‑focused coaching environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Experience supervising students in various settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria).
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in an urban school environment.
