Early Childhood Development Specialist – Springdale

About the role

The Early Childhood Development Specialist supports the growth and learning of young children within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) community in Springdale. This position works closely with families, educators, and clinical teams to promote optimal developmental outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor developmental milestones for children in early childhood programs.
• Design and implement evidence‑based curricula and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate health and educational services.
• Provide guidance and training to staff and caregivers on best practices in early childhood development.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to program evaluation and improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience working with young children and families, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in service delivery.
