Dual Enrollment Welding Instructor

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College seeks a qualified Dual Enrollment Welding Instructor to teach high‑school students at the Dalton Academy and travel to other campuses as needed. This part‑time adjunct position reports to the Dean of Industrial Technologies and requires on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives for welding courses.
• Prepare lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and maintain required documentation and reports.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests while ensuring safety and certification requirements.
• Advise students in the Welding and Joining Technology program and participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Welding and Joining Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• At least three years of recent paid welding work experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Welding and joining technology expertise.
• Knowledge of safety and security standards in a training environment.
• Ability to develop curriculum and assess student performance.
