Contracts Specialist – Academic Operations

About the role

The Academic Operations/Contracts Specialist supports Walden University’s Field Experience programs by managing affiliation agreements and related contracts. You will work closely with the Office of Applied Learning Agreements and university legal staff to ensure smooth placement of students in field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate affiliation agreements and contract terms with existing and potential field sites for student placements.
• Track, manage, and update all contracts, amendments, and related documents.
• Review contracts for compliance with university policies and state/federal regulations.
• Prepare correspondence and communications related to contracts and affiliation agreements.
• Assist in annual revision of university contract templates and research applicable laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of corporate contract administration or negotiation experience, preferably in higher education.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong attention to detail, high confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
