DSL Pitching Coach

About the role

The affiliate Pitching Coach supports the development, execution and monitoring of individualized player plans for players at their assigned affiliate. Working with Player Development leadership, Coordinators and performance staff, the role focuses on daily instruction, game planning, pitch design and the use of modern technology and data to optimise performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and executing individualized player plans across all disciplines
• Coordinate throwing programs and maintenance routines with performance staff and medical personnel
• Help manage the daily schedule, including bullpens, recovery days and throwing progressions, in line with organizational guidelines
• Support the development of game plans tailored to each pitcher's strengths
• Conduct game reviews using tracking and performance data with pitchers, keeping consistent feedback loops on progress
• Use modern development tools and technology to run individualized development plans
• Follow documentation standards and report accurately and on time on player progress, game performance and development goals
• Work with coordinators, directors and support staff to find creative solutions in the development process

Required profile

• Experience with pitching development technologies
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
• Evenings, weekends and holidays are required; the work takes place in office and field environments
