Program Associate, Higher Education (Remote)

About the role

The Youth Leadership Team equips youth and young adults to strengthen their leadership, advocate for mental health and create change in schools and communities. The Program Associate, Higher Education supports this team by carrying out programs and projects for college students, reporting to the Senior Manager, Higher Education. The role is full time, exempt FLSA, flexible/remote and entry level, combining project coordination, student coaching and facilitation, program operations, content creation and cross-team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of the Mental Health Advocacy Institute (program calendars, onboarding, LMS support, session prep, milestone tracking)
• Support MHAI recruitment and alumni engagement, and connect participants to the Youth Mental Health Innovation Fund
• Coach college students on their campus mental health advocacy action plans and facilitate virtual sessions, office hours and small groups
• Maintain the online learning platform, coordinate facilitators and speakers, and handle administrative tasks such as participant records and forms
• Process participant stipends, speaker honoraria and facilitator payments under the Senior Manager's guidance
• Create and update program materials, facilitator guides and training resources
• Collect and maintain standardized MHAI data, gather participant feedback and prepare program reports for internal teams and funders
• Work with the Measurement Team, collaborate across departments, and assist with training and technical assistance for campus partners

Required profile

• At least one year of relevant experience supporting higher education programs, student leadership, mental health promotion or advocacy
• Equity-centered, community- and strengths-based approach to student programming

• Use of ClickUp and Google Workspace to track milestones, tasks and facilitator logistics
