Drafter (Level II) – Heavy Lift & Transport

About the role

A Drafter (Level II) provides CAD support to engineers designing specialty equipment for the heavy‑lift and transport industry, and assists other CAD users with technical and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Create preliminary and finalized CAD models, concept drawings, and fabrication drawings for R&D projects.
• Prepare load‑test documentation, specification sheets, and equipment packages.
• Perform preliminary drawing checks for compliance with ASME and company standards.
• Assist engineers with basic mechanical design, structural analysis, and troubleshooting design issues.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of CAD experience, preferably in heavy‑lift or rigging environments.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to visit job sites and work in outdoor, potentially hazardous conditions.
• Pass drug test, background check, and meet fitness‑for‑duty requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
