District Sales Representative – Diesel Engine & Power Generation

About the role

The Outside Sales Representative will drive growth and revenue in the industrial and power generation markets, focusing on engineered systems, products, and services for diesel engines, turbochargers, and filtration equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and close business opportunities in the marine and power generation sectors.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, engage new and existing clients, and deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers and generate new sales leads.
• Deliver sales presentations and technical demonstrations at trade shows and conferences.
• Travel domestically up to 50‑60% to meet customers and attend industry events.

Required profile

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in marine and/or power generation markets.
• Background in controls, automation, or related industries; Woodward product knowledge is a plus.
• Proven success in outside sales with a strong track record of capturing opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field, or 10 years of relevant sales experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diesel engines, turbochargers, and filtration equipment.
• Understanding of controls and automation systems.
• Familiarity with Woodward products.
