District Human Resources Manager (Hudson Valley, NY)

About the role

The District Human Resources Manager (DHRM) is a key business partner responsible for talent readiness, associate engagement, compliance and organizational effectiveness across a district of 6 to 13 stores in the Hudson Valley, NY market. The role covers Wappingers Falls, West Nyack, Kingston, Mohegan Lake, Nanuet, Poughkeepsie, Brewster, Leeds, Fishkill and Hawthorne. Candidates must live in the Hudson Valley or surrounding areas, and the position reports to a Regional HR Director.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection and onboarding (10%): support Associate Support Department Supervisor selection, quality hiring and onboarding of new leaders
• Associate relations and workplace culture (40%): lead HR Town Halls, act as first responder on workplace incidents and investigations, manage accommodations and investigate cases
• Change leadership and business partnership (15%): promote Company Values, coach leaders and support store openings, closings and restructurings
• Learning, training and performance enablement (15%): use Salesforce and Workday to identify skill gaps, monitor training and support performance management
• Operational excellence (15%): prepare for labor relations and emergency events, advise in district meetings, partner with the HR Service Center and use people analytics
• Talent strategy and leadership development (5%): drive succession planning, talent pipelines and individual development plans

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred
• 5 years of work experience; 5 years of leadership experience preferred
• Typical travel of 20% to 50% of the time, with intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion

Pay range for New York residents: $120,000 to $130,000.
