Director, Strategic Finance

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to lead both Product Finance and Corporate FP&A functions. This senior position will shape unit economics, pricing, monetization strategy, and the overall financial architecture as the company scales toward a potential IPO.

Key responsibilities

• Own unit economics models for every product line, set financial targets and partner cross‑functionally to achieve them.
• Drive pricing and monetization strategy across Ramp’s portfolio in partnership with product and executive leadership.
• Structure strategic custom deals and creative commercial arrangements to support sales.
• Partner with product leaders to evaluate new product investments, business cases, and long‑term growth opportunities.
• Maintain Ramp’s consolidated financial model and provide deep insight into revenue, cash flow and overall performance.
• Lead headcount planning and non‑payroll budgeting, collaborating with People, GTM, Engineering and procurement teams.
• Build and oversee executive‑level financial reporting, analyses and Board materials.
• Own FP&A internal systems and tooling roadmap.

Required profile

• 8+ years experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, strategic finance, FP&A or related finance function, preferably at a high‑growth tech company.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, dissect complex problems and drive solutions to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex analyses to executives.
• Experience mentoring or developing high‑performing team members is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling and quantitative/data analysis.
• Proficiency with AI and automation tools (e.g., Claude Code) to streamline finance workflows.
• Extreme attention to detail and precision.
