About the role

The Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE) at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio seeks a dynamic leader to oversee clinical placements, school‑district partnerships, and Texas Education Agency compliance. This 12‑month administrative position carries Clinical Assistant Professor faculty status and reports to college leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage OCE operations, budget, and staff.
• Supervise OCE faculty and coordinate training for host and cooperating teachers.
• Organize OCE events, maintain the website, and disseminate resources to students, faculty, and district partners.
• Develop data‑analysis initiatives, produce reports, newsletters, and presentations.
• Maintain alumni records and support first‑year in‑service graduates.
• Ensure compliance with TEA and Texas Administrative Code, lead accreditation activities, and coordinate assessment days and mock audits.
• Collaborate with certification officers, testing coordinators, and college deans on policy and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven collaborative leadership in teacher‑education or related academic programs.
• Strong commitment to preparing candidates for successful teaching careers.
• Experience building and sustaining partnerships with K‑12 districts.
• Knowledge of Texas teacher‑certification requirements and accreditation processes.
