About the role
The Director of Supervision Analytics & Modeling leads a team of data scientists to create and deploy cutting‑edge models and analytical tools that improve operational efficiency and financial‑sector risk identification for supervision. This senior position is based at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and plays a critical role in supporting the stability of the U.S. economy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of data scientists across diverse skill levels, providing supervision, strategic direction, and performance management.
- Oversee end‑to‑end talent management, including hiring, goal‑setting, feedback, and career development with an inclusive leadership approach.
- Drive the strategic development and deployment of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and augmented intelligence solutions to achieve operational efficiencies and enhance risk identification.
- Lead innovation and continuous‑improvement initiatives that strengthen risk monitoring, reporting, and supervisory responsiveness.
- Allocate resources and prioritize projects, balancing local Reserve Bank and System‑wide priorities while ensuring efficient use of departmental assets.
- Coordinate cross‑functional resources and influence the outcomes of analytic tools and risk‑identification models.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading data‑science or analytics teams in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and allocate resources effectively.
- Demonstrated inclusive leadership and talent‑development skills.
- Excellent communication and partnership‑building abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
Required skills
