Director of Sales - Luxury Lifestyle Hotel

About the role

HHM Hotels is seeking a Director of Sales for a lifestyle hotel currently under development in Manhattan, New York. The role leads the pre-opening sales strategy and launch phases, building a strong presence in the competitive NYC market through direct sales, e-commerce and high-profile community partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening sales efforts with comprehensive plans covering all business segments and aligned with the hotel's lifestyle positioning
• Achieve annual hotel revenue goals by understanding customer needs and crafting tailored offers
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and community partners
• Interview, select and mentor a sales team, modelling professional selling techniques
• Use internal and external data to monitor objectives, spot sales trends and correct shortfalls against the marketing plan

Required profile

• Four-year college degree; advanced coursework in business, marketing or communications is a plus
• Proven sales leadership experience in a lifestyle hotel or comparable high-end NYC property
• Experience in hotel pre-opening and launch phases highly preferred
• Public relations and community marketing experience required

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, sales software and access database tools
• Strong presentation skills and negotiation of complex terms
