Lead Barista

About the role

TOTEME, a fashion house founded in 2014, is looking for a Lead Barista to join its team on a full-time basis at the new TOTEME Kafé next to the Madison Avenue flagship store. The role leads daily café operations, ensuring excellent service, efficient workflows and high standards of quality and hygiene. You will report to the Store Manager and work directly with the Café Team and the Madison Avenue Store Team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, task allocation and service flow
• Deliver a welcoming, attentive customer experience reflecting TOTEME's identity
• Guide, motivate and support the café team throughout each shift
• Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, cakes and other products
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and presentation
• Monitor inventory, coordinate replenishment, receive deliveries and minimise product waste
• Oversee point-of-sale transactions, cash handling, daily reconciliation and operational reporting
• Partner with the Madison Avenue Store Team to create a seamless customer experience
• Contribute to TOTEME's social and environmental sustainability strategy

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a café, specialty coffee or hospitality environment, including supervisory experience
• Food Protection Certificate holder, or willingness to obtain it before starting
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Ambassador of TOTEME's culture and values, with strong communication skills
• Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required

What we offer

• Full-time position starting in November 2026
• Hourly pay of USD 19-22 before tax, set according to profile, skills and experience
