Director of MBA Career Center (Consulting)

About the role

The Director of the MBA Career Center at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business leads career management for over 900 MBA students, with a focus on the consulting sector. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, the role blends strategic planning, student advising, and employer partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement career management strategies for full‑time and evening MBA programs.
• Provide one‑on‑one career counseling and coaching to students, especially those targeting consulting roles.
• Co‑manage relationships with consulting firms and design engagement initiatives.
• Support MBA admissions through prospective‑student career programming.
• Collaborate with faculty, alumni, employers, and student organizations to enhance career outcomes.
• Lead the consulting industry team, overseeing Peer Advisors and student organizations.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external employer accounts and industry events.

Required profile

• Significant experience in career services or talent development, preferably within a graduate business program.
• Deep knowledge of the consulting industry and its recruiting landscape.
• Proven ability to build and sustain employer partnerships.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills to work with faculty, staff, and alumni.
