About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a full‑time Director of Materials Management to lead material management policies, procurement, and logistics across the UHealth Medical Campus and its satellite locations.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate and contract for procurement of materials, supplies, services, and capital equipment.
- Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Analyze spend trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Serve as liaison to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely supplier payments.
- Maintain JCAHO compliance and drive service‑level improvements.
- Design and sustain efficient logistics systems across all campuses.
- Collaborate on vendor access policies and manage par‑level storage locations, including crash carts.
- Lead system upgrades and adoption of new software applications.
- Incorporate environmental considerations into supply selection.
- Assist in preparing annual operating and capital budgets.
