Director of Market Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an analytical and hands‑on Director of Market Solutions to bridge the gap between what Drips could build, what Drips should sell, and the team that helps capture it. This role defines and sizes market opportunities before they reach the product roadmap and leads the Solutions Consulting team to turn qualified opportunities into signed business.

Key responsibilities

• Own market and competitive intelligence, turning findings into point‑of‑view documents that inform roadmap and positioning decisions.
• Build strategic recommendations from sales signals, research strategic questions, and present clear recommendations.
• Partner with product and engineering to size market opportunities (TAM/SAM/SOM) and assess strategic fit.
• Draft commercial briefs with structured recommendations for early go‑to‑market stages.
• Translate capabilities into sellable packages, defining use cases and repeatable frameworks.
• Hire, coach, and manage a Solutions Consulting team through discovery to proposal delivery.
• Elevate the team’s operating infrastructure by refining KPIs, SLAs, quota structures, and coverage models.
• Drive alignment across product, sales, solutions consulting, and marketing after decisions are made.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8‑12 years of experience in product strategy, product management, solutions consulting, or sales engineering, with 2‑3 years of team management.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or education, or ability to ramp quickly.
• Proven ability to turn market research into business cases and roadmap recommendations.
• Experience building or maturing operational infrastructure (KPIs, SLAs, coverage models, quota structures).
• Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and clients.

Required skills

• Market‑sizing frameworks (TAM/SAM/SOM) and competitive analysis methods.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering teams without owning execution.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools to enhance research synthesis and reporting (plus).
