Director of Institutional Giving

About the role

Repair the World is seeking a seasoned writer and project manager to lead its institutional fundraising efforts. As Director, Institutional Giving you will craft compelling grant proposals, oversee reporting, and manage the systems that support a $13M annual grant portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead grant writer, drafting, editing and submitting foundation proposals, letters of inquiry and grant reports.
• Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and develop internal processes for grant development and reporting.
• Supervise the Donor Communications Manager and ensure alignment of donor storytelling across proposals, updates and broader development messaging.
• Manage a small portfolio of national foundation partners, supporting stewardship and proposal development.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development or related writing roles.
• Proven success writing and managing foundation grant proposals ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000+.
• Strong organizational, project‑management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience supervising staff and fostering professional growth.
