Director of Group Sales

About the role

Loews Kansas City Hotel, an 800-room property with 60,000 square feet of meeting and function space connected to the Kansas City Convention Center, is hiring a Director of Group Sales. You will cultivate and manage a diverse portfolio of corporate and association group accounts, driving revenue and strengthening the hotel's presence in key markets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve quarterly sales goals aligned with rooms and food and beverage targets, and meet or exceed assigned revenue goals
• Uncover new business opportunities and keep a healthy lead funnel throughout the year
• Expose the hotel in assigned markets and build relationships with Loews National Sales Organization and key corporate accounts
• Make local and national sales calls, conduct site inspections and prepare strategic sales action plans
• Solicit group business directly and with your team, write proposals and negotiate contracts
• Follow up after closures with other hotel departments to ensure great guest service

Required profile

• 7-10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in the national market
• Hotel sales experience is required
• Active involvement in key industry organizations and a reputation as a hotel leader
• Experience with group markets and segments
• College degree
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
