Director of Finance and Accounting

About the role

The organization is entering a phase of strategic growth and seeks a seasoned finance leader to own all financial and accounting operations. Reporting to the CFO, the Director will partner with senior leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights and drive the company’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
• Lead the monthly close, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through comprehensive account reviews and reconciliation oversight.
• Coordinate audit preparation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Develop and manage budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts and long‑range financial models in collaboration with the CFO.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide insights that support business strategy and capital allocation.
• Guide and develop the accounting team, overseeing close activities and technical accounting matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance visibility, efficiency and internal controls.
• Ensure consistent, accurate reporting across multiple operating entities during consolidation.
• Act as a key contact for lenders, investors and other external financial stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive financial accounting and leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply technical standards in a business setting.
• Proven expertise in balance‑sheet management and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing finance and accounting teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to executive leadership.
