Director of Commercial Finance

About the role

The Director of Commercial Finance plays a critical leadership role in driving profitable growth through pricing strategy, revenue growth management and sales‑finance partnership. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role serves as the financial leader across pricing, trade investment and customer profitability, providing analytics and insights that shape strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company’s gross pricing agenda, supporting the Annual Operating Plan and long‑range strategic planning.
• Develop and execute multi‑year pricing strategies across brands, customers and channels (Retail, Foodservice, Industrial).
• Provide pricing guidance, scenario analysis and financial impact assessments for commercial decisions.
• Manage Price‑Pack Architecture initiatives, including modeling and cost‑margin expectations.
• Serve as the central authority for pricing analytics, ensuring alignment with Sales, Finance and Marketing.
• Lead development and optimization of trade‑spending strategies, partnering with Sales to build promotional calendars and trade rates.
• Analyze ROI of promotional investments and identify opportunities to improve trade‑spend return.
• Partner with Sales to lead weekly and monthly performance routines, forecasting and in‑year performance management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in commercial finance, pricing strategy and revenue growth management.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to provide pricing and profitability insights.
• Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing and Operations.
• Ability to influence and govern pricing decisions across the organization.
