Director, Live Operations

About the role

Reveleer is seeking a Director of Live Operations to lead the technical production‑operations function for its CDM‑managed customer data services. This remote, full‑time position oversees 24x7 reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement of cloud‑based data workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own 24x7 operational health, define SLAs/SLOs, and lead escalation for Sev‑1/Sev‑2 incidents.
• Drive incident and problem management, using metrics such as MTTA, MTTR, and availability to improve reliability.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS production services and infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform.
• Lead automation initiatives to eliminate manual work, implement scripting, orchestration, and self‑healing patterns.
• Establish observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards for production health.
• Build and manage a geographically distributed technical operations team, coordinating with engineering, product, and IT.

Required profile

• 8+ years in production operations, cloud/platform operations, DevOps, SRE, or similar high‑availability environments.
• 4+ years leading technical operations or SRE teams with 24x7 support models.
• Proven experience handling major incidents, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• AWS production environments (IAM, networking, logging, monitoring).
• Terraform or comparable infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• APIs, ETL/data pipelines, SQL, secure file transfer, job orchestration.
• Scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Bash) and CI/CD tooling.
• Observability and monitoring platforms, alerting, runbooks.
