Director, Learning & Strategic Capability Building

About the role

The Director, Learning & Strategic Capability Building will translate KION's business strategy into a multi‑year capability roadmap, defining the skills needed for future success and overseeing their implementation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise skills taxonomy and capability frameworks.
• Use workforce data and market signals to forecast future skill needs and prioritize investments.
• Design, build, launch and continuously improve multi‑modal learning pathways.
• Embed skills through manager enablement, performance support, and integration with talent practices.
• Lead enterprise reskilling initiatives for AI and digital ways of working.
• Measure learning impact and refine programs based on business outcomes.
• Manage and develop a specialist team covering skills intelligence, learning architecture and digital capability.

Required profile

• Significant experience in learning, capability building or organisational development within a complex multinational.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into capability frameworks and drive business adoption.
• Experience leading enterprise reskilling and multi‑modal learning delivery.
• Strong analytical skills with workforce data and learning analytics.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed, multi‑country environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; postgraduate qualification or professional certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with skills‑based organisation models, talent practices and learning technologies such as LXP, skills platforms and AI‑enabled learning.
