Director, HR Business Partner

About the role

The Director, HR Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management across designated business units and regions, delivering value‑added HR services that support Northwest’s goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR policy guidance, interpret regulations, and manage complex employee relations issues.
• Conduct investigations, ensure legal compliance, and partner with the legal department as needed.
• Coach managers on performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions.
• Support workforce planning, restructures, succession planning, and training needs analysis.
• Analyze exit interviews, trends, and metrics to develop HR solutions and policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent HR experience.
• 8‑12 years of HR experience, including HR Business Partner roles within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and HR disciplines.
