Director, Global Trade Compliance

About the role

BETA Technologies seeks a Director of Global Trade Compliance to lead and expand its export and compliance strategy across the enterprise, supporting cutting‑edge electric aviation technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise compliance program, including EAR, ITAR, security, and US Government contract compliance.
• Create quarterly updates, assessments, and recommendations for leadership to address compliance gaps.
• Project‑manage cross‑functional compliance obligations and ensure policy adherence throughout the business.
• Design, deliver, and update training programs on regulatory requirements for diverse teams.
• Investigate compliance incidents, prepare analyses, and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace compliance, with deep knowledge of US export regulations.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Strong communication, organization, and project‑management skills.
• Experience with US Government contracts and digital compliance tools.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of US export regulations (EAR, ITAR).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and US Government portals/databases.
