Director, Global Communications

About the role

The Director of Global Communications will lead strategic communications programs and campaigns for Mastercard’s Commercial & New Payment Flows business, enhancing the company’s reputation as a trusted, purpose‑driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing strategies in partnership with senior leadership.
• Build and enhance the reputation of Mastercard’s commercial products through clear messaging, events, and social media.
• Lead external profile‑building, media relations, and influencer engagement for product launches and executive visibility.
• Partner with regional teams to provide global messaging guidance and governance for emerging technologies.
• Support internal communications events such as town halls, fireside chats, and panel discussions.
• Measure impact of communications programs and refine activities based on data.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with strong executive presence and ability to partner with senior leaders.
• Excellent writer capable of translating complex topics into compelling narratives.
• Experience in fast‑paced, global, multicultural environments.
• Proven track record in media relationships, event management, and stakeholder coordination.
