Director, Forward Deployed Engineering

About the role

Accrete is seeking a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead the function that makes its AI platform work in complex, high‑stakes customer environments. You will oversee end‑to‑end deployments, moving implementations from discovery through stable production adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic customer deployments, owning planning, staffing, prioritization and delivery governance.
• Establish repeatable deployment practices, technical standards, playbooks and operating mechanisms.
• Partner with Deployment Strategy, Product, Engineering and Research to translate field feedback into platform improvements.
• Serve as senior technical leader in executive‑level customer engagements and manage escalation.
• Define success metrics such as production adoption, deployment velocity and customer impact.

Required profile

• 10+ years in software engineering, technical delivery or platform engineering.
• 5+ years leading customer‑facing engineering or technical delivery teams.
• Proven experience delivering complex production software systems at scale.
• Strong executive communication skills and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
