Director, Analytics Systems

About the role

Beacon Biosignals is looking for a Director to lead the Analytics Systems Team, building and maintaining the Analytics Suite for Life Sciences and Diagnostic customers. The role involves shaping data infrastructure, feature stores, and integrating foundation models into analytical pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of 6‑10 engineers, fostering growth and high‑quality engineering practices.
• Define and prioritize tactical work aligned with company strategy, and own project scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and communicate a strategic vision for Analytics Systems to support biomarker discovery and diagnostic workflows.

Required profile

• 6+ years of management experience leading mid‑ to large‑sized analytics engineering teams.
• Experience in regulated medical device, clinical diagnostics, or pharma/biotech environments.
• Proven ability to balance fast‑paced agile development with strict design controls.

Required skills

• Analytics engineering tools: dbt, SQLMesh.
• Data modeling and pipeline platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Argo, Airflow.
• BI and visualization tools: Superset, Looker, Tableau.
