Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and achieve personal goals. You will provide compassionate personal care, transportation, and support for community activities while working in a supportive, clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as dressing and grooming.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Engage clients in their favorite hobbies and activities.
• Prepare meals and help with everyday tasks.
• Participate in community integration and social activities.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (training available through apprentice program).
• High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+).
• Ability to safely transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
