Dining Server - Part-Time

About the role

Dining servers at Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests by taking meal orders, serving meals and providing assistance. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, including per-diem shifts, with pay of $17.00.

Key responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly and attentive way, remembering their names, special requests and dietary restrictions
• Set up the dining room and make sure silverware, napkins, menus, salt and pepper shakers and other items are ready
• Help clean and sanitize the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations and other areas as directed
• Handle food safely and help prepare beverages, snacks, desserts, salads and condiments for service
• Assist residents with special dining requests and make sure everyone is accounted for at each meal, documenting attendance
• Help with special events, attend scheduled in-service training and follow federal, state and local regulations and community policies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently using proper body mechanics
