Dining Server - Part Time (4pm-8pm)

About the role

The Current South Shore, a Monarch Communities senior living community in Weymouth, MA, is hiring a part-time Dining Server for the 4pm-8pm shift. Dining servers provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests by taking meal orders, serving meals and providing assistance. The salary is $17-$19 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Take residents' dining orders in a friendly, attentive way, remembering their names, special requests and dietary restrictions
• Make sure the dining room is set up and that silverware, napkins, menus, salt and pepper shakers and other items are ready
• Help clean and sanitize the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations and other areas as directed
• Handle food safely and assist with preparing beverages, snacks, desserts, salads and condiments for service
• Help residents with special dining requests and ensure everyone is accounted for at each meal, documenting attendance
• Assist with special events, attend scheduled in-service training and follow federal, state and local regulations and community policies

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred; GED accepted
• At least one year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
• Experience working with seniors
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Able to stand, walk, lift and carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently using proper body mechanics
