Digital Asset Management (DAM) Operations Intern, Summer 2027

About the role

Atlassian's DAM & Taxonomy team, part of the Go-to-Market Operations org, owns the systems, structure and standards behind the company's Digital Asset Management platform. As a DAM Operations Intern you will own a focused, well-scoped operations project with clear, measurable deliverables, improving how marketing teams find and reuse creative assets. The internship is paid, runs 12 weeks between May/June 2027 and August/September 2027, and is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Audit metadata across key asset sets in the DAM, review tags and metadata, flag gaps and inconsistencies, and update the tagging-agent documentation
• Build a repeatable de-duplication process for identifying, flagging for removal and managing duplicate assets
• Create onboarding materials such as how-to guides and Loom walkthroughs, including a "DAM 101" set for self-serve onboarding
• Produce a short one-page explainer on how taxonomy works inside the DAM and its implications for marketing teams

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program (e.g. information/library science, data/analytics, marketing operations, communications or a related field) and returning after the internship, graduating by June 2028
• Entry-level candidates only, with less than a year of professional experience (internships and co-ops do not count)
• Curious and passionate about making complex processes simple and self-serve
• Ability to commit to a full-time role of 40 hours per week
