Diesel Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for its Hagerstown, MD Service Center. The role involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment on a full‑time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead doors, lift gates and dollies.
• Diagnose and repair AC and electrical systems, conduct welding tasks as needed, and use Cetaris for work order management.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Class A CDL holder and ability to operate Class 8 commercial trucks.

• Preventive maintenance of diesel engines

• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines
• Proficiency in Cetaris work‑order software
• Class A CDL and Class 8 truck operation
