Design Engineer – Mechanical/Structural (Wilkes‑Barre/Scranton)

About the role

RONCO MACHINE, a division of Triosim Corporation, is seeking a Design Engineer to join its Northeast Pennsylvania team. The role is based in a fabrication shop serving customers in the Wilkes‑Barre/Scranton area.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define design requirements.
• Create virtual models using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Assess product safety, appearance, and functionality for practicality.
• Troubleshoot existing designs and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, and purchasing records.
• Identify and manage out‑of‑scope work through change orders.
• Integrate NC1 files into the Prodevco PCR42 robotic plasma cutter.

Required profile

• A.S. or higher in Structural/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
