About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and experience world‑class healthcare at its best. As a Department Supervisor you will lead the daily operations of the Emergency Department Registration team, ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise caregivers in daily operations.
  • Maintain staffing levels.
  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
  • Provide leadership and training.
  • Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
  • Analyze workflow and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure cross coverage.
  • Develop an effective work team.
  • Encourage and support morale‑building activities.
  • Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager OR 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Associate’s Degree (preferred).
  • Healthcare registration experience (preferred).
