Dedicated Onsite IT Technician (Beaumont, TX)

About the role

The Dedicated Onsite IT Technician provides high‑level technical assistance and client‑facing support at our Beaumont, TX site (and Baytown, TX). Working Monday‑Friday, you will be the primary point of contact for all IT matters, coordinating with remote support to ensure consistent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting workstations, printers, network issues, and software errors.
• Manage tickets in ConnectWise, document resolutions, and escalate complex cases to Level 3 or remote teams.
• Provision new users: create accounts, join devices to Active Directory, configure email and security groups.
• Install and maintain hardware, AV equipment (including Microsoft Teams Rooms), and ensure software licensing compliance.
• Perform patch management, verify automated updates, and report patch status.
• Track and tag assets, maintain inventory logs, and report missing or damaged equipment.
• Maintain network closet hygiene: label cabling, manage switches and patch panels, replace faulty network gear under direction.
• Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for warranty claims, repairs, and service requests.
• Conduct weekly site health check‑ins, regular reporting, and quarterly hardware audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Level 2 IT support in an onsite environment.
• Ability to work independently while partnering with remote escalation teams.
• Strong communication skills for client‑facing interactions and documentation.
