Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer

About the role

The Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer – Entra ID & SharePoint Specialist will design, implement and manage modern collaboration, identity and security solutions across Microsoft 365 environments. Based in DFW, TX, the role combines client‑facing project leadership with hands‑on technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support SharePoint Online sites, permission models, document libraries and metadata.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including hybrid sync, conditional access, MFA and privileged identity management.
• Implement Teams, OneDrive and Exchange Online, enforce policies, manage mailbox migrations and retention rules.
• Lead on‑premises and tenant‑to‑tenant Microsoft 365 migrations ensuring data integrity and user continuity.
• Build low‑code automations with Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline business workflows.
• Define and enforce governance, labeling, DLP and compliance policies via Microsoft Purview.
• Act as senior technical lead on client projects, collaborate with project managers, conduct workshops and provide post‑go‑live support.
• Configure security features such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, access reviews and insider risk policies.
• Document configurations, policies and runbooks; mentor junior engineers and project technicians.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing and managing Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Proven track record leading complex migrations and tenant design projects.
• Strong understanding of identity governance, security and compliance within M365.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and ability to deliver training and adoption sessions.
