Data Science Intern

About the role

Join LexisNexis Risk Solutions as a Data Science Intern and work on real-world analytics and AI projects that support decision‑making across the insurance and automotive industries.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems and sources.
• Identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities to support business and product decisions.
• Assist with analytical experiments and the development, testing, and improvement of data science and machine learning solutions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field, expected graduation May 2028.
• Demonstrated interest in data science, analytics, machine learning, AI, or emerging technologies through coursework, projects, research, or prior internships.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and ability to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with SQL or similar data‑analysis tools.
• Foundational knowledge of statistics, data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, or data quality concepts.
