Data Analyst – Public Health & Nutrition Research

About the role
The Data Analyst will support public health and nutrition research projects by managing, cleaning, integrating, and analysing data from multiple sources. Working under general supervision, the analyst will ensure data integrity and assist senior statisticians in preparing datasets for statistical analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing and managing data analysis workflows for research projects.
- Review and document data structures to align with research objectives.
- Prepare data for statistical analysis, including cleaning, merging and formatting of dietary intake, accelerometry and self‑reported outcomes.
- Support the creation of statistical analysis plans by conducting basic calculations and preliminary data reviews.
- Maintain data collection systems through data entry, form programming and routine quality checks.
- Screen data for issues, document corrections and keep detailed records of processing steps.
Required profile
- Under general supervision, able to follow guidance from senior team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with diverse research datasets.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and research data handling.
Required skills
- Data cleaning and integration.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis support processes.
