SAP SD Functional Analyst (Contract)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Contract SAP SD Functional Analyst to provide ongoing support, improvements, and maintenance for its SAP environment. The role will focus on the Sales and Distribution (SD) module while collaborating with the MRO team and subsidiaries to resolve issues and implement new functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Apply business process knowledge and SAP expertise to resolve and implement changes in the SAP Production environment (65%).
• Design, develop, test, and report on new SAP functionality, supporting MRO error resolution and system integration.
• Perform unit, integration, system, and regression testing using formal methodologies and tools.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for MRO management.
• Review and digitize work instructions and procedures, recommending streamlined solutions (20%).
• Mentor SAP users, deliver formal and on‑the‑job training, and support front‑office order flows (15%).
• Lead or assist on assigned SAP projects as needed.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SAP experience (SD/MM/PP modules) and at least 3 years in business analytics or statistics.
• Minimum 3 years of sales or customer‑service experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no security clearance required.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
