Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

REGENT is building a new category of transportation with its Seaglider vehicles and needs a Cybersecurity Specialist to protect sensitive technology, systems, and data as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day security monitoring, triage and investigate EDR alerts, and manage escalation.
• Drive vulnerability management from scanning to remediation tracking and reporting.
• Execute incident response procedures, including detection, containment, eradication and recovery.
• Maintain system hardening, configuration baselines, authorized software tracking and drift monitoring.
• Support identity and access management workflows, privileged access reviews and provisioning.
• Apply data governance controls such as classification, DLP and retention, and assist with backup and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Improve security processes, automate repetitive tasks and keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Help run security awareness programs and phishing simulations across the company.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
• Solid background in vulnerability management lifecycle.
• Fundamental knowledge of incident response procedures.
• Experience with system hardening and configuration management.
• Familiarity with identity and access management processes.
• Strong documentation habits for procedures, incidents and compliance evidence.
• Proactive, ownership‑oriented attitude and ability to work in a fast‑moving startup.
