Cyber Security Engineer Specialist

About the role

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer Specialist to support its Energy, Resilience and Sustainability Division. The position is located on a client site in Beaufort, SC and requires a Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform computer network defense assessments, including threat intelligence, risk identification, vulnerability management, and security operations.
• Assess compliance with NIST, DoD, USMC, CNSSI 1253 controls and DISA STIGs/SRGs.
• Develop, submit, and maintain RMF packages in eMASS for control systems and SCADA environments.
• Coordinate with ISSMs, system owners, and other cybersecurity stakeholders.
• Support site assessments, system categorization, and cybersecurity evaluations for OT and IT systems.
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity compliance for ICS/SCADA vendors and integrators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or at least 2 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in network defense, vulnerability scanning, and DoD RMF/eMASS processes.
• DoD 8140 compliance and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ACAS, Nessus, Lansweeper scanning tools.
• Familiarity with eMASS, RMF, NIST, DISA STIG/SRG, CNSSI 1253 controls.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows workstation and server administration.
• Knowledge of OT/SCADA environments and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
