Customer Engineer

About the role

RevenueBase is building trusted B2B data infrastructure for AI agents. The Customer Engineer will own the full customer lifecycle—from onboarding to expansion—ensuring customers achieve their first successful search and ongoing value.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the “first successful search” activation milestone for every new customer.
• Monitor and improve customer health, identifying at‑risk accounts before issues arise.
• Lead expansion and cross‑sell conversations as new API capabilities are released.
• Scale onboarding processes, handling 3‑5 new customers per month and growing to 10+.
• Act as the voice of the customer across Slack, support tickets, and integration discussions, feeding insights to product and engineering.
• Build and continuously refine playbooks, health scoring, expansion motions, and onboarding frameworks.

Required profile

• Experience owning quota‑related metrics such as NRR, expansion, or retention.
• Background in early‑stage companies with a bias toward action over process.
• Technical credibility that earns respect from developers without being a developer.
• Self‑starter mindset focused on customer success outcomes.

Required skills

• Tech literacy: ability to read and troubleshoot integration code (Python, JSON, SQL).
• API knowledge: REST, webhooks, rate limits, authentication, batch vs. real‑time calls.
• Experience with Snowflake for querying data.
