CT/MRI Scan Technician Assistant

About the role

The CT/MRI Scan Technician Assistant supports daily operations of the CT/MRI department at Hillcrest Hospital. The role involves preparing rooms, handling patient modesty and comfort, and ensuring accurate data entry and image transmission.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clean examination rooms before and after procedures.
• Assist patients with changing, ensure modesty, and monitor condition changes.
• Verify physician orders, schedule scans, and manage patient flow.
• Document patient history and enter exam data into the system on the day of the exam.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS and report equipment issues.
• Follow Radiation and MRI safety guidelines and operate equipment properly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of healthcare experience or current radiology student.
• Broad knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift patients and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
